I have been a ceramic artist for approximately eighteen years and love the feel of soft clay between my fingers. The process of transformation from this soft malleable form to hard, shiny bowl is magical, and the thought that someone somewhere in the world is using and enjoying my handmade tablewares is very satisfying.

I opened my shop with the intention of designing a range of homewares especially for Etsy - and Etsy inspired me to do that, plus more!

The exclusive homewares range features unique and modern handmade dishes, plates, cups and bowls that are inspired by wabi sabi: the calm and tranquillity of a Japanese/Asian aesthetic. I have travelled widely through Asia - Japan, Vietnam and South Korea - and love the way that the aesthetic of ceramics is intertwined with their everyday lifestyle - as a ceramicist it is amazing to witness!

As a result I strive to make one of a kind kitchen and home decor that is balanced, beautiful and pleasurable to use everyday. As an added bonus all my tableware is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

I have also designed and developed an exclusive jewellery range - when it comes to jewellery, I have always been a huge 'wearer' - some of my friends say I must have been an Egyptian princess in a past life - so turning to designing it is no big leap!!

All of my jewellery is unique; no multiples are produced so you are guaranteed an individual piece of wearable art. Being ceramic the jewellery is lightweight, non tarnishing and easily cleaned with soapy water.

As my interest in jewellery design has developed I have also become attracted to incorporating upcycled materials such as marbles, guitar strings and buttons.

This is not surprising considering that I also make ceramic and mixed media sculptures - and the mixed media component is usually upcycled found objects. These sculptures are, perfect as the eye catching centerpiece for your living room, garden or anywhere in your home. I don't list them in my Etsy store as they can be quite heavy to post, however, if you see one you like on my Facebook page or Blog that you would like to purchase just let me know and I will list it for you.
