dew, also known as "designed by eng and wong," was founded in March of 2020 in response to the global pandemic that has affected so many people and businesses of all types.
Laura Eng and Tracy Wong are frequent visitors of NYC's iconic Chinatown. Pre-Covid, you'd probably catch them grabbing a bowl of noodles at Spicy Village or a shaved ice at Sweet Moment.

Starting in February, a trip to Queens, Chinatown made it clear that the xenophobic feelings towards the Asian community and businesses were beginning as reports of a virus had been found in Wuhan, China. For the first time ever, there was no long line to enter the dim sum restaurant or even a need to compete with nearby tables to grab the attention of the aunties for the last plate of fresh har gow. In recent days, the streets of Chinatown run bare of people and open shops, a stark contrast to the usual hustle and bustle.

It hurt Laura and Tracy's hearts to see this, but they could not watch silently and give up on Chinatown. They decided to use what skills they have to form dew:
✨a design business which aims to create a radiant and socially responsible community that makes a positive impact on society.

dew creates and designs cute and memorable products that connect with the community’s experiences. 33% of all profits will be donated to a related charity.
