Frequently asked questions
Do you offer framing?
I do not offer framing, simply because prints should be framed behind glass, and the cost of framing and the materials to ship it safely would cost more than if you just had it framed yourself. Prints can be framed very cheaply. Any craft store such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby offer frames and pre-cut mats very inexpensively.
What is the best way to frame these prints?
Watercolor prints are best framed behind mat board and glass. An 8x10" print is best displayed behind Matboard in an 11x14" frame. An 11x14" print is best displayed matted in a 16x20" frame.
Any Craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michaels has a good selection of precut mats and frames ready to go at a reasonable price.
The listing says it is an 8x10" print, but it doesn't fit into and 8x10" frame?
The printed portion of the print measures exactly 8x10" or 11x14", depending on the size you purchased. Each print has a white border added to the dimensions so that they can be attached to mat board when framing without losing any portion of the image.
You can frame the prints without mat in an 8x10" frame, simply by trimming the white border off.
But it is recommended that you frame these behind mat board. It makes for a better display and prolongs the life of the print.
Can you personalize these prints with a name painted on them?
Sorry, I can't. Because I am a watercolor artist, I can't paint with watercolor on the prints. Water and ink just make a mess.
Like spilling a cup of water on a magazine.
My print was damaged when I received it. Can I get a replacement?
YES! Usually the post office is pretty good, but every once in a while they do manage to damage one. That's why I offer free replacement for prints lost or damaged by the post office.
Contact me immediately with any issues, and I will put a replacement print in the mail for you right away.
Can you paint my pet from a photo?
Yes, I do custom pet portraits all the time. See my website, www.ronpaintspets.com for a priceless and purchase info.
Do you offer sizes larger than 11x14"?
Sorry, as of right now, I don't. Most of the original paintings were painted in the 8x10" size. If I offered prints in a size that is much bigger than the original painting, it would lack the quality of the original.
Can these prints be printed on canvas?
All of the prints are on 100% cotton watercolor paper. I do not offer them on canvas. I may in the future, but they would need to come from a third party printer.
Are you the same Ron Krajewski that had the painting horse?
Yes, I'm the one who handed the paintbrush to Metro. Sadly, Metro's health problems caught up to him and he passed away in March of 2018. But while he was creating art, we manage to donate over $80,000 to horse rescue organizations.
If you haven't heard of Metro, just Google Metro the painting horse and you will find out his story.
Do you ever donate items to fundraising events?
I do, but as you can imagine, I get several requests a day for donation of items. I wish I could honor all requests, but unfortunately cannot. So I have had to limit myself to supporting the organizations that I donate to on a regular basis.
