This stamp added the cutest touch to a recent wedding I styled. The original order arrived with the tiniest flaw, but the shop owner sent me a replacement ASAP. Love the product, LOVE the customer service. Can't wait to order something else!

About

Everyone needs at least one stamp...

Felicette™ is devoted to creating handmade products of the highest quality that enhance your celebrations and inspire you to want to create.

In the Summer of 2008, Felicette™ started as Doodlebug Design at my kitchen table, in our small home in Simsboro, Louisiana. Originally it was side project, hand carving rubber stamps for my classmates in a bookbinding class while working on my BFA. Later that year I expanded my designs and opened an Etsy shop.

While working on my master’s in Arts Administration I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of working for The Smithsonian Institute, so I packed up my stamps and moved us all to our nation’s capital. What I found while working was how much I missed creating and working with my hands. As it turned out I was already living my dream. When my contract ended I moved back to New Orleans, made stamps my full-time focus, and now do freelance work with The Smithsonian on the side.

In 2015, after seven years and more than 2,600 sales on Etsy, I made the decision to rebrand Doodlebug Design to Felicette and our squishy feline space explorer, Miss F, was born. I now own my own laser engraver and make all of our stamps in house from start to finish. Having complete authority over manufacturing allows me to have greater control over quality and cost. I work with a local lumber yard to source American Hard Maple, and once home I cut and route each mounting block myself in our workshop. Everything from our product sourcing to our packaging happens in the USA!

I am honored to have been featured on numerous websites such as Babyccino Kids, DesignSponge.com, TheKnot.com and published in magazines like “Jane Austen Knits” by Interweave and “Crochet Today”. In 2015 Felicette was selected as a finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Awards.

Felicette™ operates in the New Orleans metro area.

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

using your stamp

To use your stamp, ink thoroughly and evenly, then press it gently but firmly to the paper. If the stamp is larger than the ink pad lay the stamp onto a flat surface and gently tap the ink pad repeatedly over the surface of the rubber stamp. If the stamp is smaller than the ink pad gently tap the stamp onto the ink pad.

caring for your stamp

For best results, clean your rubber stamp after each use, so the old ink won't unexpectedly appear on future projects. Remove excess ink by stamping on scrap paper or a damp paper towel. Never soak your stamp in water, it can loosen the adhesive that keeps the rubber attached to the backing.
