I'm lost without my sewing machine!!
I attend a lot of craft shows in and around Virginia, so I decided to open my ETSY shop in 2007 for those who can't be at the shows to see what I have for sale. I also have been attending a lot of rescue / pet fairs to sell at and donate to.
To be honest I had never quilted in my life before but thought ... it can't be that hard! So I just jumped right into it. I started out making baby quilts but soon discovered that they were not selling as well so I thought ...why not DOG QUILTS for pet parents!! Well, that took off like crazy!!
Now I'm up to 60+ breeds and counting~ in a variety of pillows, wall hangings and quilts that range from throw size to king size. All dogs and paw prints are drawn by me and appliqued on then quilted on "the monster" as I call it, the Gammill long arm quilting machine.
I'm always looking for new and different fabrics for "little guys" as I like to call them....the small purses, checkbook covers, tissue holders, etc. And if you notice, the collars and leashes blend together with the fabric of the little accessories.
so... if I could just get my dogs to learn how to sew!!!
