Doro Soucy is the designer and maker behind Lux Vivens, a brand that weaves together history, artistry, and imagination. Born in Bratislava, former Czechoslovakia, and having lived in Vienna ad Goettingen, she carries the soul of a traveler - both in the world and in thought. Her academic path once led her through Chinese and Tibetan studies and the philosophy of Buddhism, but it was fashion design that became her lifelong canvas.
After earning her degree in fashion and pattern design from El Centro College in Dallas in 2010, Doro began creating her own sewing patterns, using them to craft both historical apparel and original contemporary designs. Each piece she makes is infused with meticulous craftsmanship - whether hand embroidery, beadwork, or precision machine stitching - and often features fine materials like silk, linen, wool, leather, gemstones, and vintage findings.
Lux Vivens is more than a label; it is an artistic persona, a muse wandering through ages and dreamscapes. From Mesopotamian temples to medieval forests, from sunlit Capri terraces to imagined worlds, she returns each season bearing garments and jewelry that blend old-world techniques with innovative materials.
