For most of my adult life I have enjoyed wood working and especially wood turning. When I turned by first bowl in the early 1980's using my old 9 inch South Bend metal turning lathe, I was smitten.

Now, after more years than I care to count as a computer programmer and consultant, I retired at the end of 2009. My wife of more that 50 years and I plan to do some traveling and I plan to devote much more time to my wood turning.

I am essentially a self-taught woodturner, I've never taken a class and I spend many hours in my workshop perfecting my techniques. My friends and family will tell you that I am a perfectionist, if a Pepper Mill, Bowl, Pen or other item is not perfect then it goes into the fire wood bin.
