Always inspired by nature i spent many years painting....creating textural abstract images inspired by nature. When I discovered Feltmaking, which combined perfectly my love for textiles, art, and ancient tradition, I fell in love and found my path.
I traveled for many years around the world, discovering myself and adventuring into remote places. I spent many years around cultures that kept their ancient traditions of textile production alive in simple yet beautiful ways passed down through generations, this was so deeply inspiring.
Felt making fascinated me with its simplicity, and being the oldest known tradition to produce a textile,
So i started playing around with the colours , textures and fibers recreating my paintings in wool.....showing my works in exhibitions in Switzerland and London UK.
As my life then was traveling the world, I wanted to carry my art with me, so my wall hangings turned into sculptural clothing "wearable art".

I have been on a creative journey ever since, making my sculptural felt garments and accessories. I now work from my Somerset studio in England, where I have made my home with my beautiful family surrounded by nature and ancient sacred sites.
My ever-evolving journey of creation has led me on to design and make a collection of clothing for women...a celebration of women in all their glory, shape, and beauty.

Having spent many years living in India, i return every year to create my designs with my tailor, a small family-run business that I have been working with since 2007. They have only a few sewing machines and have become great friends, and we work together to produce my small collections of women's natural clothing. This gives me the opportunity to return to India every year and immerse myself in the culture I love and the wonderful textile markets.
I try my best to use fabrics I buy i surpluses fabric markets in Delhi. I feel strongly about creating beauty in a conscious way, not adding to the already wasteful world that is fast fashion.
I see my collections as art, i only use natural fabrics and my pieces are stitched by two people, who I know well and they are paid well. I feel accountability and connection are important in what we do, and we try our best to leave as little waste as possible in the world. I always use all my excess cloth scraps and only natural fabrics.

I love the play of the felt with the different textiles....and the natural fibers.
So I spend most of my time here in my home( or in India), with my beautiful kids, playing music (I play violin) felting, creating, stitching in my studio, and tending to my garden, growing vegetables and fruits. I love the simple life with the earth, at one with nature .

I am always striving to maintain intimate customer service, that's why I love being able to offer custom-made pieces, I like having a connection with my customers so that I can make pieces that are completely unique, and whoever wears them can know they are made with love and that they have something special.
