A Journey
My inner flower child has been by my side since she first emerged in the 60's. She reminds me that life is not meant to be taken too seriously. I'm a free-spirit, and my individuality is reflected in my designs. My goal is to create a piece that inspires a woman to find the courage to dare to be different. Jewelry can reveal a part of her that she never knew existed. She may feel herself transforming into a butterfly! I use serious gemstones and findings, but my designs are meant to get you noticed, bring a smile, and be fun to wear.
I have been creating all my life. My passion for creating jewelry was ignited on a journey to the mountains of New Mexico. What a magical place! While taking in the beauty of my surroundings, I spotted something sparkling in the sunlight. I retrieved a perfect piece of clear crystal quartz that had managed to remain hidden for years.
Soon I found myself looking in the most remote areas of New Mexico for various types of gemstones that may be tucked away. Old copper mines, ancient Indian ruins and mysterious ghost towns reveal lives of the past and treasures left behind. I have a true appreciation for the natural beauty of these stones. And so.. my fascination for gemstones and jewelry began.....many of my designs use gemstones in their natural form.
For me, half the fun is in the search for unusual or rare stones (especially Turquoise). It's like a treasure hunt! The other half is in watching the stones come alive in a design that can be worn for years. The ultimate is hearing from a happy customer.
I use unusual stones and non-traditional color combinations, creating jewelry designs that are daring and fun to wear. My designs will glorify any wardrobe, from a favorite pair of faded jeans to that once-in-a-lifetime evening gown, making every day the journey of a lifetime.
