Hello and welcome! My name is Michelle and I'm the inspired woman behind Fern Lettering. I LOVE hand writing designs for people to add a positive message to their lives. This shop is my creative outlet in the evenings and weekends after my 9-5 job, although I have calligraphy prints all over my cubicle at work to inspire me throughout the day!

Why Fern Lettering? I find inspiration in nature- whether it's while hiking in the forest with ferns gracing my ankles, biking, camping, walking on the beach, or just laying in a field soaking in the sunshine. One of my favorite times of year while living in Washington, DC is when the cherry blossoms are in bloom around the Tidal Basin- it truly is magical at sunrise or sunset. I care deeply about the environment and keep this in mind whenever I'm creating a hand lettered piece.

To give back to the place that first planted the seed of respecting nature, myself, other women, and the world, 10% of all proceeds from this shop will be donated to Camp Newaygo. Camp Newaygo is an all girls camp in the heart of Michigan where I went for over 10 years growing up. Spending my summers in nature, away from technology while learning how to survive both on campouts and by interacting with girls from all walks of life is what truly made me the woman I am today.
