Hey, My Wife Makes Hats!

Thus was I plunged into the world of millinery. While shopping at a local boutique, the owner approached us and suggested I buy my hat for the Kentucky Derby from her. My husband pipes up with the somewhat unexpected line above. Admittedly, I had made a few bridal veils and an Easter bonnet or two in my youth, but to say that I "made hats" was a bit of a stretch.
But then I thought, why not? I like feathers. And flowers. And hats. I love to create. Hats were a good fit. (So to speak.) I didn't really know what was popular or traditional or good or bad. I just decided to make hats that I liked, that used textures and colors and materials that made me happy.
And people liked them? Apparently so! Here are a few of my favorite reviews:
