Founded in 2015 by Andrew Perkins, Fire Road was born out of a desire to set a new standard in American design, infusing it with unparalleled quality, innovation, and delight. Drawing on Andrew's background as an award-winning industrial designer, as well as his training as a traditional cabinetmaker, our products showcase modern artistry and a deep appreciation for materials.
At Fire Road we design and manufacture heirloom quality products that are better for people and for the planet. We do small batch, minimal waste production using domestically sourced natural or easily recyclable materials. Our wood is finished with hand rubbed Rubio Monocoat, which is both durable and 100% non-toxic. We package our products in recyclable cardboard and paper packaging with the goal of eliminating all plastic waste.
Fire Road’s sustainability story is most grounded in our use of wood, which is perhaps the ultimate renewable material. Wood is strong, beautiful and unique board to board. Wood is also a natural carbon sink. If we build more with sustainably harvested wood, build things to last, and keep the things we own then we can all live better.
