type + ink + paper = magic
I've been an artist my whole life, but it became official when I graduated in '95 with a painting degree from Montserrat College of Art... a few years down the road, and on the other side of the country, I decided to go back to school for graphic design. I fell in love with it, and have been doing it ever since, both as a freelancer and as a designer for a national publisher. In 2009, I stumbled on letterpress, and fell in love again.... it was the perfect combination of design and fine arts- I still get to play with type, but I can get my hands dirty while doing it! And so, in 2010, Moon Rabbit Press (formerly Fly Rabbit Press) was born.
Together with my trusty sidekick, Daisy Dog, we focus on making a variety of letterpress printed goodies, including posters, prints, cards & coasters. I use hand set type, carved linoleum & custom made plates to create my designs, then hand print everything on a few presses that are way older than me. I think the result is pretty fun... I hope you do too!
