Some of my jewelry is made with 14K Gold Filled metal. The term gold-filled refers to the manufacturing process in which thin sheets of karat gold are mechanically bonded to a base metal (usually brass). This layer of gold, affixed on all sides, is tarnish-resistant and provides a nice coloring which is very durable. In comparison, “gold-plated” is a microscopic film which rubs off after a short time. Gold-filled should last decades (or longer!) when properly cared for.

Yes! I use 20 gauge wire (.8mm) on any earring part that goes through the ear. This is the standard size of wire used for earring wires.

I strive to source the best quality materials and take great care while making your order. As a result, the jewelry is very durable. However, to allow your jewelry to live its longest life, please do not shower, swim or sleep in your jewelry. Acids like chlorine, perfume, and sweat may damage the stones in your jewelry. Always put your jewelry on last and take it off first.

Ideally keep all jewelry separate in airtight bags to minimize tarnishing. Gemstones have varying hardness, and harder ones might scratch softer ones. If your faceted stones need cleaning, use a soft brush with lukewarm water and mild soap solution on the back of the stones as well as the front. The softest stones are Pearl and Opal which can be scratched by dirt.

All of my items are shipped in a very nice satin drawstring pouch which is great for gift giving. If you want a gift card added to your order, just leave your note at the checkout and change your address on Etsy to the recipients. I ship all jewelry with a gift receipt instead of an invoice – just in case.

Only the 14K white gold products might contain nickel. All products are lead-free.

A Custom Order is anything created just for you. It can be a variation of an existing item currently offered in my shop, or a completely new design made specifically from your imagination and mine. These items cannot be returned for a refund or exchange and cannot be cancelled once I start on your order, which includes ordering materials specifically for your Custom Order.

My shop policies currently state that I do not accept cancellations. However, I will accept a cancellation of a non-custom order if your shipping label has not been created yet. Please contact me as soon as possible if you wish to cancel as I do my best to get orders out quickly.

I do accept returns and exchanges, however please contact me before sending anything back. The item must be in its original condition and sent back with similar packaging including a padded envelope. Once I receive your return, I will either send you a replacement, or you will be issued a refund minus the postage charges. Regrettably, postage is non-refundable.

Most of my photos are magnified to show detail. I take all the measurements carefully, and all listings include one photo to show the scale. Please take a minute to read the item descriptions carefully and check all images to avoid disappointment or confusion.
