Mindfulness and wellbeing through art
Hey, I’m Georgie, a pen and ink artist living in the vibrant city of Brighton, UK, with my lovely husband and our three wonderful kids.
Art has always been my therapeutic companion, which I’ve turned to when life overwhelms me. Especially when I became a mum, navigating the chaos of family life, art provided a safe haven, an escape when I needed it most.
In 2018, I felt lost in the grind of the digital world. I found myself craving something more tactile, more connected. That’s when I returned to drawing - a slow, mindful process that brought me back to myself. I swapped the endless scroll of Instagram for the delicate lines from my pen.
l decided to let go of my content creation business to retrain as a mindfulness teacher. And in teaching myself to draw again, I rediscovered the pure joy of simple marks on paper.
During this time, I began taking long walks, sketchbook in hand, letting nature be my guide. I’d sit under trees or by the sea, sketching leaves and flowers and noticing the wildlife that crossed my path.
These moments became my sanctuary, and out of them blossomed imaginative whimsical illustrations—animals entwined with flowers, celebrating the resilience and beauty of nature. Each piece I create reflects my journey of self-acceptance and the healing power of creativity.
I hope my drawings bring a little of that mindfulness and calm into your life, inviting you to pause and appreciate the beauty around you. Whether hanging in your home or sparking your creative practice, I hope my art helps you slow down, reconnect with nature, and find peace in the present moment.
