These plans worked great for my needs, I did have to adjust one measurement, but I’m very pleased. I have built 3 chairs so far and it only costs about $25 in materials and about 1 hr of assembly!

I searched through numerous sites to find the perfect Modern Adirondack chair plans. I landed here. These chairs looked great, and the plans were well written, and very easy to follow. I had some 5/4 cedar boards hanging around, enough to make the seats and backs for 2 chairs— so I just had to buy the 2x4s in cedar for the rest of the chairs. If I had to make one recommendation, it would be to have a paper protractor included in the printable plans, since not everyone has a protractor. My seats are actually a little more reclined, so the arms don’t have as much overhang on the front legs. All finished — took about 6 hours for each chair.. Everyone loves these chairs, and I have received so many compliments.

Great instructions, even better chairs. I’m an amateur captenter but I was able successfully build four of these chairs over a weekend. Highly recommend, just make sure to those measurements are accurate! :D
