Luxurious, comfortable, practical sleeping bags to take wherever you need to snuggle or sleep!
I went camping, in Cornwall, after a 25 year gap! This was not because I hated it (the camping, not Cornwall), in fact quite the opposite, so, when invited on a camping weekend with a fun, but very urban, group of friends, I found myself digging out the tent that was once my home in France when working as a campsite courier in my gap year (many moons ago). A massive canvas frame tent emerged from the attic...... in remarkably good condition for its age! The 2 men in my house (partner and then 8 year old) were on the opposite ends of the enthusiasm scale for this adventure. The older one reluctantly went along with the tidal wave of excitement generated by the younger practicing setting up camp in the sitting room. I realised that to get the older one on side I would have to make it as 'house' like as possible and play down the possibility of leaks......
It was the one of the funniest weekends I've ever had... but the sleeping conditions left a lot to be desired. Conventional sleeping bags were too tight and sweaty, while the duvet was draughty. Believing strongly that necessity is indeed the mother of invention, these bags are part of the journey to improved home comforts while sleeping under those summer stars or anywhere you need to snuggle (apart from expeditions to Everest, obviously). Their look is partly inspired by the traditional, simple styling of the very first sleeping bags seen in old photographs of historic expeditions and field trips. These are One Season bags, which means they are suitable for summer use outside and inside all other times...if you have a camper/caravan/trailer/tree house/eco pod (!) then their use could be extended to warm spring/ fall nights.
Use indoors unzipped for a beautiful bed cover all year round....don't hide away! These bags are also great for over night guests.... no need to make up a bed! Be a good guest and take your own bedding to a friend's house.... less work for them and saves all that washing (and waste water!). Or, keep in the office (like a news editor customer) for emergency power naps!
Easy to carry and store, they are presented in pillowslip style bags (which can double as a pillow/cushion) or a drawstring bag to hang up or throw over your shoulder. Adult bags weigh just over 2 kilos.
There are 5 sizes to suit everyone in the family...Small (2-7 yrs), Inbetweenie (6+), Medium (older child/small adult), Adult and Large (extra wide) adult.
