Living my dream of being an artist.
I am inspired by all things beautiful, namely the elegant and yet goofy greyhound, my friends dogs and practically anything with four legs.
I love art and have always attended evening classes, mainly life drawing and painting at London’s leading art schools namely Camberwell, St Martins, Morley...I was lucky to grow up in South London and had these literally on my doorstep or near my work.
The past 10 years I have been attending pottery, ceramics and sculpture evening classes.
My art was a way to relax from my stressful accountants day job....you could say I was a ‘creative accountant’ as long as the creativity is in my art only!
Having been made redundant on April 2021 I know that now is my time to apply myself to my art full time which is wonderful and exciting.
My work here is original lino cut, limited editions. I like to use the finest tools and environmentally friendly materials. Some are commissions, others from my own photos or life drawing classes.
I love lino cut as brings the drawing, painting and sculpture together. I enjoy the process of carving and the anticipation of seeing my work come to life as I lift the paper from the ink to reveal the finished piece. It can be quite exciting!
