.After recently retiring from my full-time career, I’ve decided to return to a passion I discovered as a school kid: ceramics. For the past twenty years, most of my spare time was spent woodturning. I was fortunate to sell my pieces through several galleries and place in juried art shows.
Getting on the potter’s wheel has felt surprisingly familiar; many of the skills and instincts from woodturning have transferred over, making the transition far smoother than I expected. I’m excited to develop several new collections, and very soon I’ll begin combining my woodturnings with ceramics to create hybrid pieces.
