Gray Cat Designs
Welcome to Gray Cat Designs, named after my cat, Gray, who lived to the elderly age of 19 (in human years). I love all kinds of art, and have been making some form of jewelry since I was little.
I believe that jewelry is one way in which we define who we are as individuals. Part of this involves identifying the things we're attracted to- our unique concept of beauty. In all of my creative endeavors, I find inspiration in the natural world. I recently moved to New Hampshire to finish my degree in teaching. It is beautiful here!
I have taken two courses in metalworking and I loved it; it's my dream to eventually have my own studio and craft original pieces using precious stones and metals. I use mostly natural gemstones in my work, and recycled sterling silver whenever possible.
I have a blog, www.graycatdesign.blogspot.com, where I write about my creative process (I don't post very often... but I'm always trying to write more!) You can also see more photos and information about sales and giveaways on my facebook page.
I am so appreciative of the Etsy community. I buy most of my supplies from other Etsians. I'm humbled by the fact that people across the world are wearing jewelry I created in my little space here in New England- how neat is that? I love Etsy! Thanks for stopping by my shop!
