we are already in space
One day while I was sitting at home, in front of my computer and scanner I decided to scan and digitally save all of the drawings that I have created and selectively insert into a big envelope for future use. Some of those where previously scanned at an earlier stage of my life which they were used for specific design projects of which I took over, within my Graphic Design career route.
Without expecting it and totally out of nowhere, I found myself experimenting with my drawings in Photoshop and Illustrator and in no time I had created numerous of pattern designs. I had in mind that I wanted to share these patterns, at some point but I just didn't know how.
I started the creation of a notebook via the Illustrator program and one day a friend came over. I showed her my work and she was thrilled. I told her that my intention was to create a book and publish all these patterns but I didn’t' want it to be just any book, I wanted it to be a useful notebook. So by creating scrapbooks was a leading idea.
At first, I believed that I would just design the books, and then send them to the printer for printing and binding. My dearest friend, suggested that I should do the whole job and… that was it!
"hello, i'm in space" made its first appearance at a local festival in December 2013 and all of the scrapbooks were almost sold out...
I knew I had to continue...

The unique name of these scrapbooks is based on the idea that we already live in “space”. An idea which occasionally comes to mind and helps my creativity to expand even further. The idea that we are already traveling, in a way, along with all the other celestial elements of the so called universe, is as fascinating as if it's something unreal.
It's in fact a very realistic idea. By naming these scrapbooks "hello, i'm in space" is an attempt to pass this idea to anyone who is interested in getting one. Since the scrapbook are "in space", by holding one, it kindly reminds you that you are in space too…
All scrapbooks are drawn, designed, cut and stitched by my self.
