Note from shop owner I took a short break to work on a different kind of DIY project: keeping children alive and happy during a pandemic. Unsurprisingly, that DIY project continues, so I’m taking a bit of a longer break to work on getting that creativity going again.

Charming, disruptive, hand-stitched embroidery

Welcome!

It all started with a sock monkey because I didn't want to throw out my favourite pair of socks. And then I made sock monkeys for everyone I knew. So I started to sell them because there's only so many sock monkeys one person needs.

But a funny thing happened while I was making those sock monkeys: I taught myself to embroider in order to give them faces and baby friendly eyes and I fell in love with embroidery. So I started playing around with embroidered pieces and the Canadian Heritage Minutes series was born. It snowballed from there.

While embroidery is my passion, my day job is in marketing where I do web content and I'm the mom of a busy toddler. I spend my evenings with my stitching after I put that toddler to bed and turn on Netflix or a podcast. I often find my embroidery inspiration in what I'm watching or listening to.

Wholesale availability

I'm not looking to do retail or wholesale at this time. I'd love to do it in the future, but right now my focus is on the shop and craft shows.

I'm in the KW area, do I need to pay shipping?

If you're in KW, we can definitely arrange for free pick-up or delivery. Message me before purchasing and we'll work something out.
