About Hollow Point
Welcome to Hollow Point — a husband and wife shop where wood, metal, and glass get built into something by hand, start to finish, under one roof. Seven years on Etsy, over 3,100 handmade pieces sold, and 963 five-star reviews later, we're still doing it the same way: nothing outsourced, nothing mass-produced.
Our story
For David, art has been a lifelong pull. He was the kind of kid who built wooden swords instead of buying them, and added detail to a train diorama nobody asked him to finish. That curiosity never left — it just found better tools. Decades in construction taught him to work with his hands at scale; teaching himself graphic design, welding, and CNC machining on the side taught him everything else. Eventually the passion project became the point: art that's actually his, and that means something to whoever ends up owning it.
Christina came to art on a different road. She and David married young and built a family together while she built a career of her own — from receptionist to agency owner in insurance, then office manager after selling that agency to reclaim some peace and time. Somewhere in there she found stained and fused glass, and it stuck — suncatchers, custom windows, pieces that catch light in a way nothing else in the shop does. She was also the lead embroiderer in an earlier apparel-decoration business the two of them ran together, and she's still adding new skills to the pile.
Our partnership
Nearly three decades of marriage, and Hollow Point is what happens when David's restless "let's just try it" meets Christina's precision and eye for detail. Between the two of us, that covers wood, metal, glass, design. Every piece that leaves this shop passed through both of us at some point.
What we believe
Handmade should mean something more than a label. Every piece here is cut, welded, soldered, or engraved by one of us, in our own shop near Little Rock, Arkansas — not sent out, not run on a factory line. Some of what we make is one-of-a-kind by design. Other pieces, like a batch of beer flight paddles, come from a repeatable design but still carry real grain and material differences piece to piece, because wood and metal doesn't come off any line perfectly uniform. Either way, a person made it, start to finish.
We also don't like waste. A lot of what we build starts as the leftover end of a bigger project — offcut hardwood, scrap metal, cut-off glass — instead of fresh material bought just for the job. It's part of why no two pieces are ever quite the same, and it's just good practice for a shop that goes through this much material.
Thanks for supporting something actually handmade, and for being part of the next chapter of this story. Come browse what we're building, follow along on Instagram @hptradingco for the process, or reach out if you've got something custom in mind — we build to order more often than not.
