About ideacycle

Sales 2
On Etsy since 2019

With our fast-paced lifestyles and overuse of resources - our everyday objects lose their meanings, become replaceable, nevertheless - more desirable than ever. While feeling slightly overwhelmed and lost in the frantic World I started looking for meanings, started giving meanings to things.

Letting a new object out into being is a great challenge, posing a question of Value. Therefore, I try to add value through the story it tells and the stories it will contribute to. When everyday objects filled with meaning become part of our identity we do not wish to replace them with new ones.

The project evolves around and reflects on repurposing, sharing and collective creation, as a search for a more sustainable future through ideas and their meanings, materials and their potential to transform.

In this search I am creating intuitive abstractions, telling stories through collages from old magazines that later often become the covers of my handmade notebooks. I am adding stories to the old clothes we like to wear through artful patches, I combine leftover materials into new items. All these objects will be filled with new stories. And so the cycle of ideas flows.

Everyone who has one of Ideacycle notebooks is invited to share their pages on Instagram with #ideacycle hashtag, contributing to the creation of a community-based cycle of ideas.
