I started off on my creative journey making jewlery about 15 years ago. I was living in Las Vegas at the time and had a bunch of mismatched earrings and pieces that i would take apart to make a new necklace or some such out of. One day i was showing a piece off to my artist buddy and he was like " oh thats ill!!....debris! lol Since my name is Bri and i find random things everywhere (debris) and fix them up, give them new life, the coined name illdebri was born and ive had it ever since. As my evolution in creation grew, my name is still relevant to my makings as ive found old furniture pieces and got into upholstery. Old lampshades get the royal treatment as i see fit. Ive taken apart some old umbrellas and reworked them into beautiful parasols. All the things people see as used or old are my choice muses to get me inspired. Currently i am finding uses for all my beautiful remnant fabric in the form of patchwork and who knows what my next flight of fancy will be? I am humbled to have been given an artistic name that has fueled my passion for creating and will continue to evolve in the name of revamping, reusing and giving new life to the discarded relics of the world.
