Como muchas grandes ideas, Red Charlotte comenzó por necesidad. Como joven madre, la fundadora y diseñadora de productos, Charlotte Kaufman, se dio cuenta de que tenía que lavar MUCHO su portabebés porque su hija seguía comiendo y babeando en las correas.

Charlotte ahora se ha asociado con Paige Plihal, propietaria de Beachy Bundles y la primera consultora de ropa de bebés de San Diego. Paige es una costurera increíblemente talentosa y aporta sus habilidades como innovadora de diseño en mei tais, portadores de estructura suave y conversiones de envoltura a Red Charlotte.

Paige se encarga de la producción diaria de los productos de Red Charlotte y se mantiene al día sobre las nuevas telas y las tendencias emergentes en ropa de bebé. Charlotte es ahora la desarrolladora de nuevos productos y está trabajando en la presentación de varios nuevos accesorios para bebés en el próximo año. Like many great ideas, Red Charlotte started out of necessity. As a young mother, founder and product designer, Charlotte Kaufman, realized that she was having to wash her baby carrier a LOT because her daughter kept munching and drooling on the straps.

Charlotte's designs were a hit with her fellow moms and so she dove into her next problem - how to store her baby carrier when not in use.

"It would just get flung on my couch and lay there like an octopus. There was no elegant, efficient way to store it!"

Charlotte has now teamed with Paige Plihal, owner of Beachy Bundles and San Diego's first babywearing consultant. Paige is an incredibly talented seamstress and brings her skills as a design innovator in mei tais, soft-structured carriers, and wrap conversions to Red Charlotte.

Paige handles day-to-day production of Red Charlotte's products and keeps up to date on new fabrics and emerging trends in babywearing. Charlotte is now new product developer and is working on unveiling several new babywearing accessories in the coming year. She stays focused on marketing and brand development. Together they're both super moms and awesome friends and want nothing more than to make the experience of babywearing an awesome one for all moms and dads out there who wear their children.
