Red Charlotte - making babywearing awesome, one accessory at a time.
Like many great ideas, Red Charlotte started out of necessity. As a young mother, founder and product designer, Charlotte Kaufman, realized that she was having to wash her baby carrier a LOT because her daughter kept munching and drooling on the straps.

Charlotte's designs were a hit with her fellow moms and so she dove into her next problem - how to store her baby carrier when not in use.
"It would just get flung on my couch and lay there like an octopus. There was no elegant, efficient way to store it!"

Charlotte has now teamed with Paige Plihal, owner of Beachy Bundles and San Diego's first babywearing consultant. Paige is an incredibly talented seamstress and brings her skills as a design innovator in mei tais, soft-structured carriers, and wrap conversions to Red Charlotte.
Paige handles day-to-day production of Red Charlotte's products and keeps up to date on new fabrics and emerging trends in babywearing. Charlotte is now new product developer and is working on unveiling several new babywearing accessories in the coming year. She stays focused on marketing and brand development. Together they're both super moms and awesome friends and want nothing more than to make the experience of babywearing an awesome one for all moms and dads out there who wear their children.
