Got these for my girls and my nieces as a stocking stuffer for their house key. They LOVED the patterns and the small size. Very cute!
Cottage Style Business
Hi my name is Jen. Sewing has been in my family for as far back as I can remember. We are 5 generations strong of stitchers & seamstresses. This is not just a hobby for me; it is way of life.
I began my Etsy business in 2009 when I couldn't find a small bag that I liked. I posted a picture of it to Facebook and the rest is history as they say.
Organic growth is the best business model for me. I put more time and energy into the relationships behind my sales than on the total number of sales.
I am interested in personal connections and I spend a lot of time helping others get started. I often can be found teaching others how to open an Etsy shop & what it takes to run a small business.
One stitch at a time means my items are not mass produced. I take careful care with each & every item I create. I love to make new items every day.
I know this process takes longer but it works for me.

I am the designer & maker. I love to make cute, bright colorful things. I am also a stay at home mom of two beautiful girls. I like red wine, coffee, running, yoga, dachshunds, cooking (learning to bake gluten-free) and love playing in my garden.

My name is Jen. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts—Amherst, I ran professionally for a Boston-based track and field team sponsored by Reebok. I followed that experience with almost 10 years in the financial services industry. After the birth of my second daughter, I decided to become a stay-at-home mom. I love spending time with my husband, our two girls, and our two mini-dachshunds at our home in Connecticut. And as you can tell, I also love to sew!
Every Itty Bitty Bag is handmade by me — no outsourcing, no mass production. Every bag is unique, totally original, and not from a pattern. Sure it takes longer, but it’s a labor of love. Not all of my bags are Itty Bitty, my friends loved the simplicity and colors of my bags that they requested I make them larger.

Custom order items generally take me 2-3 weeks to complete depending upon the number of items in your order. The reason for this is the volume of orders I receive. I give each order the utmost attention to detail. I do not rush through making my items. I stitch each one myself with careful care.
Local Orders (Darien, CT)
All local orders are hand delivered. It is also available for pick up at my studio.
USA - Shipping
I ship all my items via USPS either first class mail or priority mail. If you would like another mail carrier, then please specify upon checkout. If you need an item faster. Then please send me a convo and we can work out other shipping methods.
WORLDWIDE - Shipping
I ship via USPS First Class Mail. Customers are responsible for any additional custom fees imposed by your country of origin. Expedited shipping is available upon request. I will obtain a firm quote from the post office. Typically orders can take 1-4 weeks depending upon your country. Please allow extra time for gifts and holidays.
Please note that my items are non-leather and if the value is less than Euro 135/150 then your country may not impose import duty. You will be responsible for a VAT which is very similar to sales taxes we pay here in the United States. The VAT may range from 0-23%. This means on a $40 purchase you'd pay shipping plus an additional $3-$8. Some countries like Israel charge a separate import fee. If you have any questions, then please contact me.
GIFTS - Shipping
I would be happy to ship your item as a gift. I ship all of my items ready for gift giving. Please include the shipping address upon checkout. I will include a handwritten note so that the recipient knows who the item is from. If you would like any specific text, I am happy to include that as well. I will not include any invoices.
LOST IN THE MAIL - Shipping
If you believe your item was lost in the mail. Contact me as soon as possible. I send all of my US items with delivery confirmation. International items are sent with insurance. We will figure it out and make sure you get your item. Unfortunately, one of a kind items, I won't be able replicate but we will do our best to figure out a solution.
DAMAGED IN THE MAIL
We pay enough for shipping that this should not happen. Please contact me immediately if your item or package was damaged in the mail. We will figure it out and make sure you get a non-damaged item. Unfortunately, one of a kind items, I won't be able replicate but we will do our best to figure out a solution.
I am happy to expedite the shipping of your order. Please let me know if you need this and we can work out what the incremental cost would be and I will process the order ASAP.
Refunds and Exchanges
Of course I want you to be happy but what if you are unhappy with your order? I am a reasonable person and I hope that you are too. It will depend upon how much customization is done to your bag and the area of dissatisfaction. My items are not mass produced and I've tried to give you every detail possible about your order prior to making your order. If I've done something wrong then of course I want to make it right and I will.
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason please contact me within 5 working days of receiving your package. I will do my best to resolve the problem with you quickly.
REFUNDS / EXCHANGES / DAMAGES / LOST
Customer happiness is a top priority for me. Refunds, exchanges, damages, lost items are all considered depending upon the nature of the issue. I can not account for all possibilities in one shop policy so please contact me if you are unhappy for any reason.
DO NOT WORRY
You should not worry about purchasing from me, as I just want my customers to be happy and enjoy their purchase. We will sort out any shipping, additional costs etc. based on your unique situation. I believe in honesty and fairness in all transactions and conduct myself & my business in this manner. I hope you do too!
