Announcement   Sugar Creek Art Festival was a success! Sooooo, I'll be spending time in my studio getting ready for the Morton Pumpkin Festival in September--need to replenish my stock of upcycled fiber art cuffs, bags, hats and headbands. I'll also have heartstrings, birds on branches and collaged wall hangings. They're all quirky, whimsical and fun, same as my other creations. So look for more to come and follow me on facebook ( facebook.com/itzachicthing ) to get the latest updates about new listings in my shop.

Thanks for stopping by!

About

UpCycled Accessories for the Free-Spirited

Whimsical. Quirky. Out-of-the ordinary. Just a few of the words one could use to describe my work. Each piece created is upcycled and one-of-a-kind, using recycled materials found in thrift stores, estate sales, my own closet, grandma's attic, just to name a few. My studio is stocked full-overflowing with colorful fabrics, snippets, vintage crocheted lace, buttons and baubles-lots of inspiration for new ideas. This is my happy place, where I have free reign to make messes and make art. I feel so fortunate to have that chance.

Press: I have been lucky enough to have some of my pieces featured in Stampington magazines: Altered Couture and the Spring and Fall 2013 and Fall 2015 issues of Haute Handbags. I was pleasantly surprised to see my painted clutch bag as the cover photo for the October 2015 issue.

I like quirky, odd, not-too-perfect things. And color. Lots of color.
