Hello...
I have always been 'arty' and always loved animals and my garden, so a chance at turning on a lampwork torch 7 years ago was enough for me to pack up my paints and pencils, fold my easel back against the wall in the studio, where is remains to this day gathering dust and setting up my torch on a bench in the studio my husband and son built for me 10 years ago at the bottom of the garden under the big tree in the corner.
I create most days, I am rarely still, my muse is stirred with the fluttering of a butterfly, the funny things my dogs and cats do, the memories of my lovely chickens that used to follow me around the garden and into the studio and sadly lost the big 'Chicken War' against the fox and badger that live around me in rural Herefordshire. My garden is a huge inspiration, I may not be a gardener with a wealth of talent but I appreciate each flower and pretty weed that grows between the gravel on the paths and in the raised beds.
When I am not melting glass in my studio I am walking down at the river with my dogs or at home looking after my special needs cat with brain damage and his 'new' older brother who is living out his twilight years with us after his last owners moved abroad. I write stories and currently have a monthly column about living with special needs cats in Cat World Magazine (only available in the UK but you can find it on line).
