Announcement   Hello! If you've clicked through to see my steampunk-inspired work, you need to visit my other shop: http://steamjunque.etsy.com . Otherwise, if you're here for gorgeous glassiness, keep browsing :)

Welcome to my little corner of Etsy (well, one of them!) where you will find a collection of distinctive and inspiring handmade lampwork glass beads and jewellery made by me in my small workshop at my home in Wigan in North West England.

All of my glass pieces are made entirely by hand and are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability. Each piece is then cleaned by hand and thoroughly checked under a magnifying lens for cracks or imperfections; a final check is made at the point of packaging to ensure my valued customers will receive a perfect piece of art.

Please note that I strive to represent all my artwork accurately in my photographs and make them as representative as possible. I photograph all my work under professional lighting in order to show the colours and textures in my work to their full effect. Note that the colours may vary under different lighting conditions or when viewed as a photograph on different computer monitors.

I can accept payments by cheque by UK customers only. Customers from elsewhere must use PayPal.

If you have any questions about my work or ordering from me, or even if you just want to say "hi", please convo me :)

Thanks for looking - I hope you like my work!

About

Uniquely designed, handmade art glass beads and jewellery

I've made jewellery in one form or another for at least 25 years, starting out with simple bead-and-wire designs and finally progressing to simple silversmithing and chain maille techniques.

I eventually realised that my designs didn't feel quite handmade enough, I wanted to do more. So in 2007, I took my first (and only) lampwork lesson and have been hooked ever since.

Nowadays my primary passion is making glass beads and cabochons. As you can see from my shop, I do still make jewellery but glass is definitely where my interest lies the most!

Simply making jewellery wasn't enough for me so in 2007 I took my first steps in glass beadmaking and have never looked back!

Payment
Whilst I only have PayPal listed as the method via which I accept payments, this is to simplify the buying process. I am happy to accept cheques from UK customers only - the setup here doesn't allow me to specify this!

If you're a UK customer and you wish to pay me by cheque, please contact me to arrange this.
Shipping
UK shipping is via 1st class whilst everyone else will receive their orders via standard air mail.

Most orders are sent the next day after ordering, where the order has been placed before 9pm GMT.

For higher value orders (usually larger jewellery items) I take parcels to the Post Office to get proof of postage. The only day I can reliably get to a PO is Saturday although I will try my best to get there earlier in the week if humanly possible!
Refunds and Exchanges
In the event that any order is incorrect, the customer must notify me within 30 (thirty) days after delivery. I abide by the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR). If I have made a mistake or if the product is faulty or damaged, the product shall be returned to me at my cost (First Class). Please obtain proof of posting and please ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. I will send a replacement at my own cost or issue a full refund.

If you wish to return an item for any other reason, whether it's not as you expected or you have simply changed your mind, the customer agrees to pay for the postage to return the goods to me, as per the DSR, via Royal Mail First Class (or similar service for non UK customers) with proof of postage.

For items over the value of £30 (30 GBP) the items must be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery. Non-UK customers must use a tracked, insured and signed for service. This cost shall not be refunded.

When returning the items, please obtain proof of posting and please ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. Please ensure correct postage is paid - I will not pay the fee to obtain a package returned without correct postage.

Non EU customers *must* label the package on any customs forms as "returned goods", so that customs do not demand an import/VAT charge.

If a refund is due, the refund or a credit note will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned items, to the cost of the goods being returned and not including any postage costs incurred when sending the original order.

If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to me and this results in damage or deterioration, I will charge you for the reduction in value. This does not cover the unsealing of packaging necessary in order for you to inspect the goods.
Additional policies and FAQs
All of my glass work is made entirely by hand and is annealed in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability. Each piece is then cleaned by hand and thoroughly checked under a magnifying lens for cracks or imperfections; a final check is made at the point of packaging to ensure my valued customers will receive a perfect piece of art.

Every care is taken to clean and anneal my glass work. Please remember, though, it is still glass and should be treated as such. Whilst much of my work is bright and happy and some of the sculpted pieces are sometimes stylised and somewhat "cartoony", they are not suitable for children. I bear no responsibility for any accidents arising from inappropriate treatment and use of my glasswork.

Please note that I strive to represent all my artwork accurately in my photographs and make them as representative as possible. I photograph all my work under professional lighting in order to show the colours and textures in each piece to their full effect. Note that the colours may vary under different lighting conditions or when displayed as photographs on different monitors.

If anything is damaged when it reaches you, contact me immediately but no later than 14 days after they reach you so I can raise a claim with the carrier.

Minor repairs to jewellery items are free of labour charge. However, if I need to use any materials during the repair, these will be charged at cost. The customer will be responsible for secure carriage in both directions.
