Before starting my own business I was a stay at home mom of three wonderful children. When I wasn't chasing toddlers I helped manage my husband's company. My love for animals began as a young child and later cultivated into a need to express my fascination. I have been painting throughout my life however it wasn't until 2007 that I decided to put my all into it and create my own business, Jen Callahan Artwork.

Ideas from my work stem from photographs I take during visits to local zoos and aquariums as well as pictures given to me. When I decide on a subject I will study it for up to a year. Several of my subjects are commissioned pieces. "Nothing beats a smile and a hug from a person who is filled with joy that they will have a painting to remember their loved ones."

Most days you will find me traveling to and from shows. My husband and I spend the majority of our time on the road up and down the east coast from Michigan to Florida. Thankfully my assistants keep things running smoothly back at the home studio in Tappahannock, VA. When they are not working hard in the studio you will find them at local shows selling and promoting Jen Callahan Artwork.

Our company prides itself on being 100% custom made in studio from my Original Artwork. We produce Tile Art, Cutting Boards, Wrapped Canvas, and Paper Prints, along with many other specialty items. You can find my line in several retail shops and galleries. We are currently working on growing the business to give more consumers the opportunity to enjoy my work.
