Why I Make Knives

Perkins Knife Works was started from a passion for making tools that are meant to be used, not just displayed. Each knife is forged by hand with a focus on balance, performance, and long-term durability. I enjoy the process of turning raw steel into a functional tool that someone can rely on in their kitchen every day.

As part of my commitment to improving my craft, I have joined the American Bladesmith Society to further my knowledge and pursue certification. Learning from experienced makers and continuing to refine my techniques allows me to build better knives with a focus on performance, balance, and long-term durability.
