I have loved the old west for as long as I can remember. As a little girl I wanted to grow up to own a cattle ranch. Unfortunately that dream didn’t come true. Shortly before my 30th (2,014) birthday I became disabled by SLE/Lupus which is an autoimmune disease. My variation is very severe. I have had several long bouts in the hospital that we didn’t think I was coming home from. The disease took the use of my legs for several months, caused me to have blood clots in my lungs, a blood and bone infection, a seizure that stopped my heart,and the list goes on. Finally I started to get better, today I am walking and living life a bit more than I have been able to in years. In 2,020 my husband got diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was a long road to getting it taken out and has left him permanently disabled but the Lord has brought us through it all and I can 100% say that we are both miracles. Along this journey I knew that I had to try and live the best possible life I could with my new circumstances. I found leather tooling which has been a huge blessing. It has helped me feel useful and purposeful while still allowing me a connection to the lifestyle that I love.
