Hi. I'm Kat, founder of Sustain. For many years, I had issues with skin rashes. Turns out, chemicals were the cause. I found out my clothing was packed with toxins from insecticides to harmful chemicals used in bleaching, dying, and post-treatments (including chemicals to permanently press and make clothing wrinkle-free, moth-resistant, water-repellent, etc.).
I was unable to find organic, healthy clothing that I could wear everyday. I needed clothing that I could wear to the office, at home and to go out. So Sustain was born. Sustain is a line of organic, sustainable clothing with an easy fashion that can be worn every day.
Sustain makes clothing from organic, natural fibers and avoids harmful dyes that could absorb into your body. We even have a line of ayurvedically-dyed clothing made with herbs and plants that are helpful to your skin and body. Also, by only using natural and organic products, we reduce harmful chemicals released into the environment during the manufacturing process.
Sustain focuses on making sustainable choices in the clothes that we wear everyday. Our clothing is made without pesticides, herbicides or toxic chemicals in order to provide natural clothing that is both better for our bodies and the world. In our mind, every piece of clothing we sell is one piece closer to a healthy body and a sustainable world.
