This is such a beautifully carved piece--I know it is a hair pin, but I think I am going to use it as a shawl pin--it came very quickly!

The spiral whorl is becoming my fav! I don't even have to use a leader on it. These are awesome. A clean spin! Being a square whorl helps me see the slowing of the revolutions better and I do not need a notch!

I love the spiral notch but this is the smallest drop spindle I've gotten. I didn't like it at the very first, since it was so small and I wasn't used to it and had to get used to the fact since it was so light, the spin would not last long until there was more weight on it. But now? It is TERRIFIC!!!! I can spin away all day on this little tornado. The spiral notch is awesome. I love it!

absolutely yummy fiber and a dream to spin. I'm using my spiral notch drop spindle and the fiber spins up just wonderfully. Lovely color and super soft!

But Of Course, I had to spin the moment I wrangled this tomb wrapped spindle out of the box. It’s Perfect! I must say I’ve been wanting a bottom whorl with a “T” cut shaft for a while—the yarn runs straight up from the tip, minimizing the Wobble a spindle can have. Kate makes them! They are strong, balanced and can hold a Lot of yarn!
