Founder and designer, Yvonne Chu, launched Kimera in November 1999. The jewel-box sized boutique in Brooklyn served as a showcase for Yvonne's original designs as well as other local artisans.

Kimera quickly outgrew their original space and expanded into their current tri-level Boerum Hill location near Downtown Brooklyn. Fulfilling a niche for quality made-to-measure dresses at affordable prices, Yvonne has quietly established herself as an invaluable resource for stylish women in Brooklyn and beyond.

We offer a wide range of products, from simply elegant wedding gowns to colorful party looks and feminine power dresses. Our signature style is a fusion of timeless elegance with multi-cultural influences, inspired by Brooklyn's diversity and every corner of the globe.

All of our products are handmade in our Brooklyn studio by our team of expert seamstresses.
