My name is Kathryn Herndon and I'm an Illustrator based in Colorado! I've been drawing ever since I could pick up crayons but I decided to work towards making art my profession after I watched Hayao Miyazaki's film, Spirited Away. Oh my goodness was I scared when I first saw the film but also in complete awe at the visuals, characters, and environments all encompassed in an amazing story.
If I'm not working on drawing you'll usually find me crocheting and watching YT, working on 1000 piece puzzles because I love the challenge, watching let's plays or playing video games like Stardew Valley, Planet Zoo, Mass Effect, The Witcher, and RE games. OH and I love anime and manga! Some of my favs are Kuroko No Basket, Naruto, Kekkai Sensen, aaand Jujutsu Kaisen.
I graduated with a BFA with a focus in Illustration at PNCA in 2019 and at the moment work in Marketing full time so everything you see me create on socials is done in my free time! A lot of the work I create is cute and whimsical and based off of my everyday life or wild dreams! I enjoy drawing animals, fun and unique characters, and settings that tell a story!
