A Long Time Coming!
Hi! My name is Ashley and I run Koshakee, a Queensland based small business, creating handmade gifts for babies and toddlers. I have been sewing for over 25 years and fell in love with sewing for babies, new mums and kids when I had my first child nearly 15 years ago. Since then I have made many gifts for friends and family and have been kept very busy raising my own 2 boys.
I have wanted to have my own store selling my own creations for years now but my own and my youngest son's health issues made it feel like a distant dream. I am so excited that I can finally 'go for it' and while life is by no means perfect or easy, I'm not going to let things like health issues hold me back any longer!

I take great pride in my work and strive to create quality products that are not only practical but pretty and fun. I look for quality materials and think carefully about what my customers and I would want if I was buying a handmade product. I also tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and am constantly seeking to improve my products. If I am not happy with a product I have made, I will not list it in my shop!
Supporting other Australian small businesses and doing my best to use environmentally friendly packaging products is also something I am passionate about. This is sometimes tricky to balance as a small business just starting out but I hope to be able to do this more and more and my business grows!
