I was out shopping one day with my friend, who is a trans woman. She kept getting "dude"ed and "man"ed by the staff. I gave her the space to respond how she wanted to, which was to just finish the interaction and leave, but I wished I had had a way to educate the staff, while not making it a scene or anything. I was thinking I would write a note, but I didn't have a way of doing that before we left. I went home later and decided to make a business card with this information, and in researching the wording, I found this card. It's perfect! It is exactly what I wish I would have had in this interaction, and I am so so grateful to have on hand from now on.
