After studying art in Sydney, Australia, I pursued further education in the USA. With a BFA in TV graphic design, I landed my dream job as art director at NBC-TV4 in Columbus, Ohio. It was there that I discovered the captivating stained glass pieces created by my colleagues in a beginners class. Inspired, I embarked on a self-taught journey to become a stained glass artist. Through dedication, I established a highly successful stained glass business, even after having 5 children in 4 years.

In the 90s, I showcased my work at juried shows across the US and earned multiple awards. I had the honor of exhibiting, by invitation only, 1 of 5 artists selected, alongside renowned artist Dale Chihuly at a gallery in Ohio in the 2000’s. Additionally, I taught stained glass classes at Ohio University, The Foothills School of American Craft, and the annual Glass Craft and Bead Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have also partnered with Urban Outfitters and IndieMe. I started writing tutorials for Glass Patterns Quarterly magazine, the leading international glass publication, in 2014. I'm still actively contributing to the magazine as of 2023.

Among my notable commissioned projects are the restoration of 18 leaded windows at the Judy Chapel in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, contributions to the local Parade of Homes, and a 4' x 8" leaded window for the All Shepherds Lutheran Church in Delaware, Ohio. I have also created numerous privately commissioned stained glass windows, including one for Dr. William and Mrs. Kirwin, the former president of The Ohio State University.

I am proud to call myself a stained glass artist, and I absolutely love what I do! Creating beautiful pieces of art with vibrant colors and intricate designs using glass is like magic to me. It's my passion, and it makes me happy.

What I find truly amazing about stained glass is how it can transform ordinary light into something extraordinary. When the sun shines through those colored pieces of glass, it's like a symphony of colors dancing all around the room. It brings warmth and a sense of wonder to any space.

I draw inspiration from nature, architecture, and the beauty that surrounds us. Whether it's a majestic landscape, a delicate flower, or a historical building, I strive to capture the essence of what makes them special and translate it into my stained glass art.

Creating these pieces requires patience, precision, and attention to detail. Each step, from cutting the glass to soldering it together, demands careful craftsmanship. But the end result is always worth it. Seeing the final piece hanging in someone's home or a gallery, bringing joy and beauty to people's lives, is incredibly rewarding.

I also enjoy working on custom projects. It's such a privilege to collaborate with individuals who have their own unique vision. Whether it's a personalized window panel or a special gift, I take pride in translating their ideas into stunning stained glass creations.

Besides being an artist, I'm also a teacher. I believe in sharing my knowledge and passion with others who want to explore the art of stained glass. Conducting workshops and classes allows me to connect with fellow art enthusiasts, nurture their creativity, and inspire them to discover the magic of glass.
