Our Craft With Offerings Of Mother Nature
We are a couple live in Datça, a small coastal town in Turkey with our 2 children and 4 cats. A long time ago we departed city life to live in an environment surrounded by Aegean and Mediterranean seas. As becoming close to the nature and sea, our craft has been deeply shaped and enhanced by nature.
For 12 years during summers, we have been selling our goods in Datça. At our small stall we enjoy conversation with our costumers. Their admiration always motivate us, and we thank them, also thank you, for supporting our craftsmanship :)
Our real workspace is nature itself. We collect most of the materials of our journals and jewelry from nature.
For all our ecofriendly books, sanding, drilling, oiling the covers, folding, cutting, stitching papers.. we all make them at home. We bind our unique journals and travel books with various inspiring historical binding techniques, while the local wood to be cover of our books, reflecting history on its streaks. The covers of all books are always from pruned real wood, such as olive, cedar, mulberry, walnut and pine. We love to use unbleached paper, such as marbling paper, craft paper, and aged natural paper for our ecofriendly journals.
Size of the journals may vary, bigger guest books and wedding books, visitorsbook, and albums are demanded for weddings, anniversaries, meetings and gatherings. Smaller and lighter wooden journals are preferred as travel book, sketch book.
Friends and users of our craft also want unique journals, so we keep making wizard book, book of shadows, mystic diary and witch journal..
To make natural jewelry at home, a table, a drawer, and a bookcase is more than enough in our atelier room. We collect small beach stones and pebbles from sea shore to make them beads. We gather olives from our garden and use olive seeds as beads. And we make necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and earrings. We design for both women and men ecofriendly jewelry, and also we love to offer unisex jewelry.
