Really an OCD move, replaced the long lost volume six in the set of Book of Knowledge encyclopedias from 1926 I brought home from a garage sale in my wagon when I was a kid. Lots of fun times with these books doing dangerous science experiments and reading misinformation! Set feels complete now even though it has virtually no value. Happy to find this obscure item on Etsy. Exactly the correct year in addition of my set.

Take a Flying Leap Into a Wonder Shop of Vintage Splendor!

Even back in the day when we were both "pre-vintage" we loved all things old. That love developed into necessity because when we were first starting out, we lived on that little plastic thing on the END of the shoestring. We discovered that there was a wonderful world of garage sales, flea markets, and second-hand stores with amazingly unique items to decorate our home on the cheap. After years of acquiring fun and interesting finds, we started running out of room to put them and decided to start selling a few things off. In May of 2010 we "took the leap" and opened The Leaping Lemming Antiques & Vintage and haven't stopped. We run The Leaping Lemming from our rural home in a mountain valley in northern Idaho. When we're packing your vintage purchase we just might also be watching deer, elk, moose or wild turkeys out the window.

We love our customers and take great pleasure in passing along the special treasures we find to new homes.
