I love getting my fingers inky and creating unique designs which often raise a giggle although never rude.

All my items are hand made by me personally and printed using traditional letterpress techniques. I use vintage metal and wood blocks and individual type letters which are set by hand.

I have two printing presses - a tabletop 1950s Adana 8x5 for small items and a beefier Cropper Peerless No.2 treadle press c1910 for larger items or for when a deeper impression is desired.

If you decide that you would like something and you would like to pay with a credit or debit card, choose the PayPal option in checkout. PayPal is a third party credit card processor that keeps all of your transaction information secure. You do *not* need your own PayPal account to use the service.

Shipping

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC ALL POST IS TAKING MUCH LONGER THAN USUAL.

I will aim to post your order the same day it is purchased however this is not always possible. This processing time varies on the type of item and whether it is a bespoke or personalised item. If the item is required for a particular event please contact me and I will endeavour to process it as a priority order.

Why is the International postage so expensive for just a pack of gift tags or paper bookmark that weigh hardly anything?
The UK postage charges are no longer based on just weight but on thickness as well. The packs of gift tags might be small and very light in weight but they are thicker than the 'letter' rate of 5mm because of the knotted string and so have to be posted at the more expensive 'large letter' rate.

When will I get my item?
For deliveries in mainland UK it usually takes between 3 and 5 days for delivery after the processing time stated on each listing. Highlands and Islands can take a little longer. Europe mail estimated 7-10 days and US about 10-14 days. Australia and Canada may take a little longer 10-20 days. These are estimates only and beyond my control. Sometimes they arrive sooner but. All are sent via Royal Mail and their own policies state that UK post can take up 12 working days, EU up 25 working days & the rest if the world up 32 working days. Parcels with not be classed as late / loss until after this time has past & therefore no refund can be given until the allotted time frame has past.

Returns and Refunds
If you need to return an item from outside the UK, especially from USA, Canada and Australia, please return it in the original packaging with the original CN22 label clearly visible and write 'RETURNING ITEM'. Otherwise the returned item might be subject to import tax if the value of the item is over £15 which I cannot repay as part of the refund.

VAT and customs fees
If there are any customs duties or VAT to pay in your country, you are liable to pay this. Easy should automatically sort the VAT but you might be liable to pay customs import duty relevant to your country.

Christmas deliveries
Both Etsy and Royal Mail have been quoting unrealistic post delivery times which has resulted in many customers wondering where there item is when the 'estimated' delivery time has passed. I am sorry about any delays during this busy time and ask that you be patient as this is beyond my control. I offer an option to upgrade to a tracked service which should be quicker but still not guaranteed. Post to the US and Canada is particularly delayed at the moment due to disputes within the US and Canada mail service.

Additional policies and FAQs

CUSTOM ORDERS
Some of my items can be created as a custom order, such as printing a message inside a card or bespoke gift tags such as for a wedding. These are not personalised with individual names or messages but will all be printed with the same message such as a moving house, birthday party or Christmas card. There is a minimum order of 20 items which must all have the same message. Wedding tags can be ordered with your names and/or date but must be all the same text - please send a convo with your requirements and I will work out a cost. There is a minimum quantity of 50 for tags and they must all have the same message.

INDIVIDUAL PERSONALISED CARDS
My cards are hand set using individual metal type and so it is not possible to add names or personalisation on individual cards using the letterpress process.

BESPOKE ORDERS
Although I generally only use traditional metal and my growing collection of wood printing blocks, it is possible to get a polymer plate made of your own design for bespoke orders such as party/wedding invitations or decorations.

Privacy

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewellery, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
1) as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
2) when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
3) if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as i) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and ii) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
1) Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
2) Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
3) Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
4) Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
