Hello and welcome to LUNA LAPIS!

LUNA LAPIS was founded by Lauren in 2017 from her home studio in Northern Ireland. She specialises in sourcing ethical and sustainable crystals and turns them into beautiful pieces of jewellery. As crystals are naturally occurring, each piece is truly unique!

The main concept behind the jewellery collection is ‘minimal with meaning’. By keeping the designs minimal, and using demi-fine materials, this allows the beauty of the crystal to catch your eye and fully shine on it's own.

Items are made to order and are usually dispatched within 1 - 4 working days* of receiving your full cleared payment.

*Please note that items can not be dispatched on weekends or during Northern Ireland/U.K Public Holiday periods, so will be dispatched the following working day.

CANCELLATION
Unfortunately items can not be cancelled or amended once payment has been made and the item has been dispatched.
However, if you have made an error (for example you have selected the wrong item or chain length) please get in touch with me ASAP before I ship the item so I can amend your order.

VAT / TAX
International/USA buyers may have to pay additional taxes to Etsy which Etsy calculate at the checkout.

Standard Shipping is FREE in the UK and items are dispatched by Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery. If you are in a hurry, 1st Class and Special Delivery is available to purchase as an upgrade.

❗️DELAYS / DELIVERY TIME ESTIMATES
Etsy provide delivery estimates on orders, however please bear in mind that these are approximate estimated delivery times and are NOT guaranteed delivery times as Etsy can not take unexpected delivery delays, bank holidays, postal service disruptions, etc into consideration. I can not refund for delivery that is delayed or where delivery has been attempted as this is a service issue with the delivery provider. However, with this in mind, the vast majority of orders arrive earlier than estimated or on time, and it is exceptionally rare that mail is undelivered.

All of my items are made to order in batches so your item will be dispatched usually within 1 - 4 business days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Once I have dispatched an item with Royal Mail, I cannot be held liable for any delivery delays caused by Royal Mail. Please be advised that delivery processing times are unpredictable and can there can be unexpected delays for many reasons. If you are in a hurry for your item then I advise purchasing a delivery upgrade for faster shipping and/or Tracked Shipping.

If you experience a delay of more than 14 working days from date of dispatch notification (for UK delivery) or 28 working days (for USA / International orders) then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me so I can investigate with Royal Mail.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
All International orders (USA, Europe, etc) are sent by Tracked and Signed For Delivery so you can follow the progress of the shipping of your item. You can find this on your order information. International orders typically take around 10 working days to be delivered, however please be advised that International delivery can take up to 4 - 6 weeks during busy periods or due to regional delays.

INTERNATIONAL DUTIES / CUSTOMS
Please note; International buyers (outside the UK) are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred, and are beyond my control.

IN A HURRY? UK SHIPPING UPGRADES
I offer 1st Class Shipping, and Tracked/Special Delivery as an upgrade to UK Customers at an additional cost and can be selected at checkout

1ST CLASS: Sent as 1st Class 'Signed For' delivery

EXPRESS: This is the Tracked and Special/Next Day Delivery* option. *Please note that Express Delivery is NOT next day delivery from when you place your order, it is next day delivery from when I make the order and take it to the Post Office.

For Express Delivery I would move your order to the top of my queue to make your order, but I would require that you allow me 1 working day to prepare your item and ship before 12noon the following day.
For example, if you place an order on a Monday morning and select Express Delivery it would be posted before 12noon on Tuesday, and will arrive with you on Wednesday. (Please note that Friday or Weekend orders will not be posted until Monday morning.)

The Express Delivery option is different from the 1st Class Delivery option in that I will move your order to the top of the queue to speed up your order with Express. With 1st Class I will not move your order up the queue, it will just have a quicker postage time once I take it to the Post Office.

If you have any questions about Express Delivery, please send me a conversation message before placing your order and I will be happy to answer.

HOLIDAY PERIODS
During busy holiday periods I may increase my dispatch times to 1 - 2 weeks depending on volume of orders. Dispatch times will be outlined on my listings at time of purchase so you will have an estimated delivery date.

Please allow longer for delivery during holidays and periods of high postage traffic (E.G.: close to Christmas) and bear in mind that in extreme circumstances delivery can take up to 28 working days. Unfortunately I am unable to advise on estimated delivery dates or shipping delays and any delays are outside of my control.

PACKAGING
All items are beautifully packaged with care - perfect for a gift - and sent within an eco-friendly, protected, padded parcel for safe transit.

DELAYED / UNDELIVERED ITEMS
Shipping and delivery is the sole responsibility of the delivery provider (Royal Mail, USPS, An Post, etc). Therefore, I can not be held accountable for delayed, lost or undelivered items. In the instances of International orders or upgraded UK Tracking orders, a signature will be required upon delivery for the Tracking. This is the only Tracked option that Etsy Shipping provides, so I am unable to send Tracked items without a signature upon delivery for this reason. This is beyond my control.

If you are not in to receive your order, then the delivery providers in your local area will follow their polices. This usually involves leaving a card to say that delivery was attempted and will include instructions for how you can arrange a redelivery or collection from a depot. Please follow the instructions from your local postal service to claim your mail.

In the unlikely event your item is undelivered and you believe the item to be lost, then please inform me so I can raise an issue with Etsy or Royal Mail so I can make it right with you.

GENUINE CRYSTALS

All my jewellery collections featuring stones are made with genuine crystals and will each have their own unique characters and colours. Please bear in mind that colours of the crystals may vary slightly than those listed, and shapes and inclusions will also vary.

Each listing uses professional photography that samples the collection. You will receive a similar crystal to the one pictured, but not the exact same crystal. Genuine crystals will each have their own unique characters and colours so please expect some variations to colour, texture, shape, inclusions/patterns and size. The beauty of each crystal is their uniqueness!

If you have a particular requirement that you would like of the collection shown, please send me a message BEFORE purchasing and I can check to see if I have a crystal that meets your needs.

CARE OF GENUINE CRYSTALS

Please note that crystals are genuine, and as such must be cared for properly to ensure they retain their natural, beautiful qualities. I include a Jewellery Care booklet with every order that includes tips on how best to care for your jewellery piece.

All crystals will have their own properties, so make sure to research your crystal type before cleansing. As a rule, avoid harsh cleaning products and avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, moisturisers, makeup, etc.
It is also recommended you do not store your crystals in direct sunlight or in humid conditions, such as bathrooms and shower rooms.

Frequently asked questions

Do you gift wrap?

All my pieces are beautifully wrapped with care, (either in re-purposed paper and an organza bag for plated jewellery, or in an eco friendly presentation box for Sterling Silver jewellery) so are ready to gift.

However, I also offer a 'Gift Wrap' option at an additional price which can be selected during checkout.

Gift Wrap items will be presented in a beautiful eco friendly gift box, on which I hand-stamp with eco friendly ink. I will add a free, small crystal gift (intuitively selected by me for your order) and I will also add one of my Affirmation Cards. A small handmade gift card will also be included with your message.

How do I care for my crystal jewellery?

My jewellery features genuine crystals, and as such must be cared for properly to ensure they retain their natural, beautiful qualities. You will receive a crystal jewellery care booklet with each order explaining tips on how to care for your crystal jewellery.

All crystals will have their own properties, so make sure to research your crystal type before cleansing. As a rule, avoid harsh cleaning products and avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, moisturisers, makeup, etc.

It is also recommended you do not store your crystals in direct sunlight or in humid conditions, such as bathrooms and shower rooms.

Please avoid storing your jewellery with any other jewellery pieces which have tarnished.

How do I care for my Sterling Silver or Plated jewellery chain?

My jewellery pieces are made with either solid Sterling Silver, Gold-Filled, Gold Vermeil OR are plated in 18K Gold or 925 Silver plating. Each listing will state the chain and hardware type.

To prolong the life of your jewellery I recommend the following:

• Avoid contact with chemicals (e.g.: perfume, moisturisers, soap, skin care products, hairspray, cleaning products, etc)
• Do not wear your jewellery in the shower or pool
• Store your jewellery in the organza pouch or box provided and not with other jewellery which has tarnished
• Do not store in humid environments (e.g.: bathroom)
• Do not wear your jewellery while working out as sweat can alter the PH of your skin
• Only clean jewellery gently with a soft, dry jewellery cloth.

Does your jewellery contain Nickel?

No, all of my jewellery pieces are Nickel free and made with high quality metals.

Can I get my jewellery in solid Sterling Silver / real Gold?

I offer a high quality, demi-fine jewellery pieces in solid Sterling Silver, Gold-Filled, and Gold Vermeil collections (bonded over sterling silver) which can be worn daily and to last you for many years to come.

I also offer an economy collection on 925 Silver plated and 18K Gold plated, designed for occasional wear.

Each listing will detail the chain and hardware type available for that collection.

Due to the very high costs involved with real gold, I have no plans to launch a solid gold collection at this time.

Do you cleanse/charge crystals before posting?

I charge all my crystals under the light of a recent full moon. I also cleanse each crystal in a Selenite bowl before posting to customers.

However it is recommended that you cleanse or charge crystals yourself if you wish to do so. As crystals will pick up energies around them, they may have absorbed some negative energy on their shipping journey to you.

The easiest way to cleanse your crystal would be under the moonlight. I recommend you do this simply by placing your necklace on a windowsill indoors so the crystal can absorb the moonlight, but will be protected from the rain which could damage the jewellery.

Please do not leave your crystal necklace in humid conditions or direct sunlight.

What is the difference between Express Postage and 1st Class Postage?

The Express Postage option is different from the 1st Class Postage option in that the Express will arrive sooner than the 1st Class option.

With Express Postage, I will move your order to the top of the queue to speed up the making time. Once accepted at the Post Office (before 12noon) your order will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guarantee (by 1pm the following working day).

With 1st Class I will not move your order up the queue, it will just have a quicker postage time than standard 2nd Class once I take it to the Post Office.

If you require your order by a certain date, then Express Postage is recommended.

I have ordered the wrong length of chain, can I have a new chain length?

Please take care to ensure that you have ordered the correct length of chain.

If you notice that you have made an error with your chain length order, please contact me BEFORE your item has been dispatched.

If you have noticed the error after your item has been posted, please contact me to discuss. As a new chain will have to be made, there will be an associated additional cost involved to cover materials and time, plus shipping.

In some instances where the chain is solid Sterling Silver, or the crystal pendant is attached to chain and can not be removed from the chain, then you will be required to return the necklace to me so I can make you a new necklace. Again, there will be an additional cost involved to cover materials and shipping.

Do you take custom orders / commissions / can I purchase a pendant without the chain?

Unfortunately at the moment I do not have the time commitments to be able to take regular commissions or custom orders and I am only able to offer crystal necklace designs listed on my shop.

However, please don’t hesitate to contact me about a commission as I will see if I can help!

I sell my all my crystal jewellery pieces as finished items, so crystal pendants are not available to purchase separately without the necklace chain / earring.

Can I request a particular crystal from your listing photos?

All of the photos used in my listings are a sample of my collection, but are not the exact crystal you will receive.

As the crystals I use in my collections are genuine, naturally occurring crystals, each one will be completely unique and different.

In the instances where I only have a limited selection of crystals, you will have the option to choose the crystals from the photos via a drop-down menu at checkout and you will receive that crystal (eg: option 1, 2, 3, etc).

However, most of the crystals in my collection will be chosen intuitively by me for you.

However, if you have a particular requirement of crystal, then please just send me a message and I will be happy to help you find the perfect crystal from those I have available.
