Die Vintage-Fotogeschichte erzählen
Telling the Vintage photo Story
Ich erinnere mich, dass ich seit 1970 Fotos gesammelt habe, als ich als Studentin und Mutter mit dem Fahrrad durch Eugene, OR., zu Garagenverkäufen fuhr und nach alten Fotos suchte. Zu der Zeit war ich ein Foto- / Designstudent und kolorierte von Hand Fotos, die ich in der Dunkelkammer druckte, und eine natürliche Sache für mich war, von der frühen Fotografie angezogen zu werden. Ich hatte und habe immer noch ein großes Interesse an zeitgenössischen und historischen Fotos und wenn ich eine Ära auswählen müsste, wären es die ersten 10 Jahre von 1900-1910.
Als ich anfing zu sammeln, hat das Verlangen nie aufgehört. Ich habe eine umfangreiche Sammlung von Glasnegativen aus der ganzen Welt und ein Studio, das bis zum Überlaufen mit Alben und Einzelfotos gefüllt ist.
Ich glaube wirklich, dass jedes Foto eine Geschichte und manchmal ein verstecktes Geheimnis hat. Ich schaue mir immer meine Vintage-Fotos für eine lange Zeit an und versuche, das Foto zu mir sprechen zu lassen. Wenn es das tut, dann hat es auch seine Geschichte und seinen Titel.
Und so fühlte ich mich nach Jahren des Sammelns einer natürlichen Sache, sie zu teilen und beschloss einfach, es in ein Geschäft zu verwandeln. Eine meiner Freuden ist es, Kunden zu finden, die die gleichen Bilder lieben wie ich, nichts ist besser als das!

I remember collecting photos since 1970 when as a student and mom I would ride my bike around Eugene, OR., to garage sales looking for old photos. At the time I was a photo/design student and hand coloring photos that I printed in the darkroom and a natural thing for me was to be drawn to the early photography. I had and still do, a keen interest in contemporary and historic photos and if I had to pick an era, it would be the first 10 years from 1900-1910.
Once I started collecting, the desire has never stopped. I have an extensive collection of glass negatives from around the world and a studio filled to overflowing with albums and single photos.
I truly believe that each photo has a story and sometimes a hidden mystery. I always look at my vintage photos for a long time trying to let the photo speak to me. When it does then it has its story and its title too.
And thus I felt after years of collecting a natural thing was to share them and just decided to turn it into a business. One of my joys is to find customers that love the same imagery as I do, nothing is better than that!
