Hi, I'm Jane the skull-obsessed, crystal-hoarding, disco-ball-loving alternative wedding florist behind Maddison Rocks
I create alternative preserved and faux wedding flowers for people who reject tradition and wear their weird proudly.
If you're looking for florals that are dark, moody, gothic, colourful, nostalgic, geeky, whimsical or downright bonkers, welcome. You've finally found your florist.
Because your wedding flowers shouldn't look like everyone else's. They should look like you.
The story filled with your personality, mosh pits and mixtapes, loud guitars and soft poetry, rainbows and werewolves, horror movie marathons, favourite films, obscure obsessions and all the beautifully odd things that make you who you are as individuals and as a couple.
From gothic skull pocket boutonnières and pin-on buttonholes to fantasy and fandom-inspired bouquets, centrepieces, headpieces and cake toppers, I create wedding flowers that don't give a damn about the traditional wedding rulebook.
And yes, I've made bouquets that light up, play music and contain things you probably wouldn't expect to find anywhere near a flower.
Because as far as I'm concerned, nothing is off limits.
So, who is the weirdo behind the flowers?
I'm obsessed with texture, colour and tension.
I'm forever hunting for inspiration in the strangest places. I love obscure details, strange objects, forgotten techniques and things that shouldn't work but somehow absolutely do.
I blend techniques from inside and outside the floristry world and love pushing boundaries with materials and objects you wouldn't normally expect to see in wedding flowers.
I'm also a crystal-hoarding, disco-ball-loving child of the 70s, a magpie for shiny things, a lifelong horror obsessive and a devoted skull collector.
I watched The Shining at a very young age, which scared the absolute hoohar out of me and left quite a vivid mark on my soul. Muhahahaaaaa.
In my house, "normal" is the highest of insults.
My tastes are unapologetically eclectic, and I believe beauty comes in far more forms than the wedding industry sometimes gives us permission to explore.
A little bit of proof that the weird stuff works...
My floral work has been featured in multiple wedding magazines and online publications.
In 2025, I collaborated with Sony Pictures to create a Bone Bloom Bouquet to promote the release of 28 Years Later.
And in 2026, one of my Lord of the Rings-inspired pocket boutonnières was signed by Elijah Wood, who described it as one of the coolest things he'd ever been asked to sign.
Not exactly your average wedding florist story. And that's rather the point.
Your wedding. Your rules.
Whether you're planning a gothic wedding, dark romantic wedding, fantasy wedding, alternative wedding or something so wonderfully specific that you can't find the right flowers anywhere, I'd love to hear about it.
Tell me your colours.
Tell me your theme.
Tell me your favourite film, game, band, book, creature, obsession or completely unhinged idea.
I'll turn it into flowers.
No templates. No copy-and-paste wedding flowers. No rules.
Just wildly individual florals made for couples who want their wedding to feel unmistakably, unapologetically theirs.
