Nature inspired jewelry designs for for the wanderer, the dreamer, the hunter and the gatherer.
While beautiful in its simplicity, Maddie's jewelry evokes adventure and draws inspiration from folk culture. With texture, oxidation and organic colors Maddie translates nature into wearable pieces of art for taking the road less traveled. For the wanderer, the dreamer, the hunter and the gatherer…wherever your dreams may take you, your jewelry should not be slowing you down.
Folk Dreams jewelry line from back lot barn boasts copper and silver jewelry designs handmade by Maddie Spoto in her studio. back lot barn is our 2.5 acre homestead where we are learning to steward the land in the columbia river gorge.
Maddie grew up in a very creative home and have always had a great respect and love for art. While studying at Cal State Long Beach for her BA in Studio Art, Maddie took a metals class and found her passion on day one.
In 2012, Maddie created Folk Dreams to share her passion for metalsmithing and jewelry making with other women looking for earth conscious, wearable art, that was stylish, yet timeless.
Maddie's other passion is for our mother earth and the preservation of our home. With a love for the ocean and adventures, Maddie set out to give back to Mother Nature by donating 5% of each purchase to earth and animal friendly non-profit organizations.
Although Folk Dreams is Maddie's passion project, she hopes one day it can become a bigger part of her story and inspire others to live a life they love.
