Fun Designs for Hand-Knitters
I started creating patterns for hand-knitters in 2003 while on bed-rest during my second pregnancy. During that rough time, designing kept me sane, and, eventually, it kept me very busy: After the birth of my son, I took my designs to local yarn shops and trade-shows and, before I knew it, my patterns were being sold at knit stores across the US and Canada. I named my company Pick Up Sticks and ran it with my mom until 2010, when my family relocated from California to Vermont. At that point, I stopped actively designing, but I continued to be featured in how-to videos with CreativeBug and I regularly appeared on PBS's Knit and Crochet Today television program. My catalog of Pick Up Sticks patterns is available for purchase as downloadable PDFs here and at Ravelry.com. The patterns I designed for CreativeBug are available at www.creativebug.com and the patterns I designed Knit and Crochet Now are available at anniesattic.com. My books, Felt It! and Felt Forward, are both available at Amazon.com.
