The Magic of the Mobius Strip

Möbiusremsan kom till oss på en våg av synkronicitet som fortsätter än idag. Våren 1995 ledde jag en kurs i drömmedvetenhet och min fru Marcia organiserade de lokala aktiviteterna för Jordens dag när 'tillfälligheterna' började.
Jag hade läst en serie metafysiska romaner kallade Robert Jordans Wheel of Life, när jag stötte på en referens till en magisk drömamulett. Denna amulet, "vars yta var vriden så att den bara hade en kant", gjorde det möjligt för bäraren att medvetet gå in i drömtillståndet.
Jag kände igen formen på amuletten som en Möbiusremsa, som jag hade lärt mig om flera år tidigare på mattelektionen. Marcia påpekade att formen också användes som den universella symbolen för återvinning. Ungefär samtidigt kom några tibetanska buddhistvänner till oss förbi med en bok om Tantras transformerande process med titeln "Tidens hjul"!
Synkroniteten mellan dessa händelser fascinerade mig så mycket att jag lät gjuta ett dussin Möbiusremsamuletter i silver till min drömklass..........
och så är det ~ gnistan som tände vår Magic Möbius-smyckesverksamhet ~
From the Introduction of his book, 'The Mobius Transformation', written by John Galleher:
"The Mobius Strip came to us on a wave of synchronicity that continues to this day. In the spring of 1995, I was leading a class on Dream Awareness and my wife Marcia was organizing the local Earth day activities when the 'coincidences' began.
I had been reading a series of metaphysical novels called the Wheel of life by Robert Jordan, when I came upon a reference to magical dream amulet. This amulet 'whose surface was twisted so it had only one edge', allowed the wearer to consciously enter the dream state.
I recognized the shape of the amulet to be a Mobius Strip, which I'd learned about years before in math class. Marcia pointed out that the shape was also used as the Universal Symbol of Recycling. At about the same time, some Tibetan Buddhist friends of ours dropped by with a book on the transformational process of Tantra entitled, 'The Wheel of Time'!
The synchronicity of these events so intrigued me that I had a dozen Mobius Strip amulets cast in silver for my dream class..........
and so it is ~ the spark that ignited our Magic Mobius jewelry business ~
