About

maker, seeker, observer

i found that the only way for me to speak most honestly, the only way for me to navigate through my own life and connect with others deeply, was to get down to this making of adornment and small metal objects myself from beginning to end.

i love working from raw materials - tools at the ready. i am able to direct the work from beginning to end, finding myself in a beautiful flow where it all comes together. let's not be naive though, there is much in the way of agonizing cognitive participation in the process.

we have lived, yes? and this wear and tear on our hearts and bodies have made us more. just as we develop a personal patina, the metal i work with is treated to different means in order to reflect and honor this process.

this work i do is intentional -
in our present world, feelings of vulnerability are common. i hope that these pieces will make you feel more empowered, will help you move through the trials and discover the joy and love that are ever-present in life if you live with the very rewarding (and terrifyingly) open heart.

within the past year, my offering bowls came to be. gradually evolving in size and design, they are a source of great satisfaction. for as they are my offering to you, you are then able to make offerings of your own.

metal is the backbone of my work, mixed media and varying techniques often flesh it out - to find different ways to make it speak and sing - to resonate with your spirit... heavily influenced by universal experiences and nature, i hope that you will feel connected to the work once you receive it...

be assured that i work in sterling silver, copper, brass, steel... there are no plated metals used... if i were to use it (and i don't) it would be clearly stated... some people are allergic to nickel... if i use it, it is only in places that do not contact skin... some people's chemistry causes a reaction to metal - like the green tint that can be left by copper... i give multiple coats of an environmentally friendly permalac spray (used by sculptors) and a final finish of wax...

please do not hesitate to convo me with any questions... it is always easier to clarify things before a transaction rather then afterwards...

Additional policies and FAQs
work that features patina must be treated carefully - please do not expose to water and chemicals, or any undo friction... these pieces are not meant to be 24/7 adornment... while i use a sculptor's grade lacquer and wax, over time and without proper care, the sealer can break down and the patina will suffer for it...

i am only satisfied when i know that what i am offering you is made correctly... i want you to be happy and i want your jewelry to last you for many years...
